Don and Nicole carving pumpkins 24 years ago on this date., originally uploaded by Don Campbell Models.

It’’s hard to believe 24 years have gone by since I sat on the back deck and carved pumpkins with Nicole . This was the first time she got a knife of her own to carve with. Deb was very nervous I gave Nicole a real knife. Out of the three of us , Deb was the only one that cut her finger. So our mistake was letting Deb have a real knife, LOL
We did this for many years and remember the mess it made everytime. Nicole always had so much fun creating a special looking pumpkin. The picture below this one shows Deb and Nicole by the finished carvings. You might be able to see Deb’s cut finger. (:<).
We had a lot of great trick or treating days after this one , even when Nicole was in High school her friends and her had fun parties downstairs in our basement. Now all we have is the memories as Nicole is too far away . But if she was here, she would be here passing out candy with us and making popcorn and having fun.
So be sure to stop and make some memories with your kids on this Halloween . I guarantee you will all remember it for the rest of your lives. It’s the little things we remember in life.
TIME PASSES BY, BUT MEMORIES LAST FOREVER.
Thanks Nicole !!,for so many fun years with you on Halloween. !!
Hope today will be another fun Halloween for you even so far away from mom and I. HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WALKING AT 6:00AM – Deb and I are struggling this last week on our eating . Not sure if it is we know winter is coming and we have anxiety or we are just getting bored with healthy food. We find ourselves craving sweets more now than in the past. It really does get boring, no doubt about it. But we are still walking 6 miles a day and still counting our daily calories and we will take it one day at a time. I am eating Deb’s cole slaw and her potato soup for lunch, umm.
GREENBAY PACKERS- Hey, How about them Packers !!!!!!!!!! Oh Yea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ACCO DOZER – Now that I am done with the loader I can get going on the Acco Dozer. After lunch I will work on the lower frame .
SILVER SPADE- I worked a little on the first section design of the boom.
NATIONAL FARM TOY SHOW 2007- This time of year always brings back memories of Deb and I heading out today in our motorhome on our way to Dyersville to the National Farm Toy Show in Dyersville. We went for nine years and now we miss it. We always stopped at Appleton, Wisconsin the first night and ate ate Famous Daves Ribs Resturaunt. I also miss that. Then we would drive to Waterloo, Iowa and tour the John Deere Assembly Plant.
