Here is a picture of 11 year old Mikey as he manuvered this 80 foot boom on the Hitachi excavator. He is a very talented little boy as you will see in the video . His dad uses this machine for cleaning ponds too. He said it is rare to have a 80 foot boom , most are only 60 feet long. This was the first machine we saw Mikey operate and we were very impressed. His dad said when Mikey was 5 he was running smaller excavators and he worried Mikey would break off some of the wooden side boards on the dump trucks. To this day he has filled plenty of dump trucks and has never even bumped  a side board. Mikey was very nice to Deb and I all afternoon.

MICHIGAN CLOSES – It was looking grim for us folks in Michigan as the Governor decided to close . We actually did close for 4.5 hours. Probably the biggest shock was no lotto tickets for sale, ha,ha.
But now Michigan is open again and I guess all is well. (:>). So be sure to come back , LOL !!
DAY 11 EATING HEALTHY- Still going strong !! Go Us !!
SCRAP YARD again today – I made another $72.00 dollars today . It really pays to clean the shed, ha,ha. and no flat tires (:>).
NEW WORKSHOP UPDATE- The workers are here today digging the footings and putting up the forms. Then we have to wait for the inspector before he can pour the concrete. So we are officially on our way (:>)
BILL GODDARD – I got a call yesterday from Bill Goddard in California. He said he absolutely loves the Austin Western Crusher Model. He said it has much more detail than the Cedar Rapids Crusher he was looking to buy. He also said he has a list of 8 more projects he wants me to build for him in the future. Thanks again Bill.
NEXT OUTDOOR MUSEUM TRIP- Still looking good for us to head to southwest Michigan this weekend to another fun day looking at outdoor museum pieces. (:>). Deb isn’t jumping for joy about it, but she is a good sport about it and I appreciate her going with me . She is very good to me and I love her very much. She is the perfect wife. Besides it helps that I let her buy ANYTHING she wants on the whole trip , (:>). It’s rare she buys anything , she is very good at managing money. Now that REALLY is a PERFECT WIFE !!! (:>).
RICHIES CAT LOADER- If all goes well , I hope to get back to the workshop and start building toys again. I have accomplished a lot outside in the last week though , and that is a good thing.
