Shorter Days Are Here- Deb and I were walking in the dark this morning at 6:00am . We are starting to see skunks around town with the protection of darkness . A couple times we almost stepped on a skunk so now we walk in the middle of the road until the sun comes up. We know they won’t hurt us, it just is a little startling when we see them so close and almost step on them.
ELECTION TIME – Sure is hard to make a decision on our next President ? Too young and unexperienced or too old and over the hill . The old guy thinks America is in pretty good shape and has pretty much agreed to stay the course , ha,ha. I’m still holding out for another choice, ha,ha. so far , None Of the Above is where I stand, (:<). But what the heck do I know ??
DART TRUCK PROGRESS- This picture shows the cab and the exhaust stacks and the top mounted tank and engine cover in place. I still have more to do on the tractor , but today I will get started on the bottom dump trailer. Later I will go back and finish up the tractor.
THREE BIG MODELS AT THE AUMANN AUCTION – The collector that bought all three of my big models at the Aumann Auction on Sat. E-mailed me last night . He said he absolutely loves them. His name is Leon and he is from Va. so that is pretty cool they are just a couple hours away from Nicole and Bill in Wash. D.C. Sometime we will go see him and see his cool toy collection.
I guess the collector selling them at Indy had a lot of other toys at the auction too . We heard he was going through some adjustments with his marriage and selling off part of the toy collection as it was in his best interest. Those circumstances sure can mess up a guys toy collection. (:<). Very sad when long time marriages have problems.
Hopefully things will work out and the old bag will move out and let his wife come back. We like her a lot and she was a very hard working person and helped him get everything he has today.
Dieting Issues – Seems we just get going a couple weeks eating good and then we go away somewhere and we slip back into junk food again. So now we will try to do good until our D.C. trip this fall. Hopefully we can both get skinny by then, ha,ha.

Second Hand Smoke – I’ve gone a week now without smelling smoke from the nice 85 year old neighbor lady and her nice husband sitting in their garage 10 hours a day chain smoking . I sure hope they are alright ? I have a headache and I think I am having nicotine withdrawal symptoms, LOL
